Last Friday we woke up not realizing a fraction of the devastation hurricane Helene had caused on her path. We had no power at home but thought, surely this will be up and running soon! Little did we know. Our team was headed down to Brays Island early that morning, when we received word from those on property, do not come right now. Majority of the island was underwater, no power, and most roads totally impassable with trees and power lines down.

We spoke with every vendor we could updating plans. Then we updated plans many more times, doing whatever we could to make this weekend a success for Nathalie, John and their guests who went through most of the weekend without power, cell service or running water.

We prayed and we prayed and shed a few tears, but we did it! We are thankful for each and every person who had their hands in making these events so beautiful, and those who took on other jobs that weren’t their own. Thank you thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful. Y’all are amazing!

We continue to pray for those affected by the storm. We cannot fathom what many are going through. 🙏🏻
